Beautifully renovated and affordable accommodation in the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula
Yr Heliwr first opened as a hotel in the mid-1800s. The accommodation has now been completely renovated to a high modern standard, and is being run as a community social enterprise.
The bunkhouse-style accommodation features two rooms with four bunkbeds each, and two family sized rooms. One family room has two bunkbeds and a double bed, while the other has three bunkbeds and a double bed.
Each room has a fully equipped en-suite bathroom with shower.
The rooms have been designed to accommodate small groups, families, individuals and couples who wish to enjoy this unique area – at an affordable price – with each room named after a local landmark, some of which can even be seen from the rooms themselves!
All bedding and towels are included.
Guests are also offered 10% off evening meals – available Thursday to Saturday, 5 to 8pm. Kids menu available too!
Basic meals can also be prepared in the communal kitchen, equipped with a microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, chairs and tables, and a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer.
Free wi-fi is available in the rooms, as well as tea and coffee facilities.
Children of any age are welcome. Children aged 4 years and above are considered adults in the room rate. Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability, for children ages 0-3.
Free parking is available in Nefyn town centre, a two-minute walk from the pub.
The pub is a thriving Welsh tavern, with locals and visitors enjoying our cosy atmosphere, as well as the many gigs and community events we run on a regular basis.
A stay in Yr Heliwr will give you a unique insight into the local culture and landscape, as well as some great insider knowledge about where to go and what to see.

Rooms
Garn Boduan
This room includes one custom made bunk bed and a custom-made double bed. It is ideal as a family room, but can also be booked by individuals, couples and groups.
Porthdinllaen
This room contains two bunk beds - ideal for a group of four or less.
Bodeilias
This room contains two bunk beds - ideal for a group of four or less.
Gwylwyr
This room contains two bunks - three singles and a double, perfect for five people or less. This room is ideal as a family room but can also be booked by individuals, couples or a group.
Check in is available between 15:00 and 22:00 Monday - Friday, and between 13:00 to 22:00 Saturday and Sunday.
We may be able to accept an earlier or later check in time by prior arrangement.
Check out time on the date of departure is 10.30am.
We may be able to hold luggage until 13:00 on the date of departure by arrangement.
Standard Rate: Bookings can be cancelled up to 1 day before the day of check in free of charge. Bookings cancelled less than 1 day before the day of check in will incur a charge of 100% of the booking total. For reservations with multiple rooms this applies to each room.
Non-Refundable Rate: The total price of the reservation will be charged right away after booking and is non-refundable.
Please also note all cancellations or modifications must be made in writing by email. Cancellations over the phone will not be accepted.
Rates given are per room per night.

Bookings must include at least one guest over 18 years of age.
Payments
For bookings made online, payment will be taken immediately. For bookings made over the phone or by email, the full balance amount is payable on arrival at check-in time.
Please note that we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room is occupied again.
Parking
There is some on street parking available in front of and surrounding Yr Heliwr; this is normally quite limited, and is available on a first come first serve basis. There is a free car park nearby, on Stryd y Plas. This is a few minutes’ walk from Yr Heliwr.
Extending your Stay
After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive.
If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know as soon as possible before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate you and this can include relocating you to a similar room if necessary.
Child Policy
Children of any age are welcome. Children aged 4 years and above are considered adults in the room rate.
Cots are available free of charge, subject to availability, for children ages 0-3.
Smoking
Please do not smoke at any time in any part of the property.
Alcohol Policy
All guests must be 18 years or older to purchase alcohol, a valid photo ID will be required.
Complaints
Any complaint about the booking service must be notified to Yr Heliwr in writing or by email as soon as possible.
